hmm, maybe, but back in the day glocks were accepted pretty quickly into law enforcement with their new (at the time) firing system. yeah i can't remeber where i saw the tolerance variables, but they are much greater on the xd. this is why aftermarket parts makers like storm lake precision...

does the frame on the colt xse lw commander gouge at the feed ramp from bullets hitting it from the mag? i noticed it doesn't have an intergral ramp on the barrel, and some alloy frame 1911's are known for this.

i think the frame sag issues only happens to the mid and full size models, haven't seen it on the compact yet.

those smith 19's are such nice looking 357's! that's why i got the model 620-it has the underbarrel web like the model 19 and not the full underbarrel lug like the 686 (just personal pref)

i just ordered vz gatorback grips (not the slim ones) on brownells website, but it didn't say if they are relieved for ambi safeties-does anyone know if they are? if you go onto vz's website, some are ambi relieved and some aren't!

i think i might just look for regular grips that are thinner than the stock springer ones on my champion operator. i really don't want to mess with the grip screw bushings on an alloy frame gun. i don't want to run the risk of stripping the alloy threads in the frame.

i was just reading that my springer grip screw bushings might be "staked" in, and this would make taking them out a real pain. does anyone know if they are in fact staked in? and what, exactly, does that mean? i had assumed i could just use a flathead screwdriver in the notches to twist them out.

yeah, i wonder if i should order the slim bushing and screws from springfield armory, which would be more expensive, but at least i would know that the bushings won't strip the threads on my alloy frame champion operator. i don't know, maybe i'm, just being paranoid lol
