    45-70 reloads

NICK; Just for kicks, if you come across 45 long colt cast bullets(.451 t0 454) weighing around 245 to 265, try to paperpatch a few,use unique or trailboss, see how they work. Fast and minimumn recoil! I simply did one diagonal wrap of masking tape even with the upper groove, twisted the...

    Opinions on 1885 Highwall

405 Winchester Hey Swede, Read you on many threads ans thought you were interesting. I never shot that 405, heard it was a real thumper and was wondering if it could be downloaded to maybe 40-65 recoil levels? That crecent butplate on the 1885 Browning does bite especially B/R shooting...

    Opinions on 1885 Highwall

maruko 1885 browning I have the Tradition Browning in 45-70. It will shoot anything accuratly. The 305 Win softpoint is a real screamer when properly loaded. 'Light' .44 mag rifle loads

In my lever Win 94, I used 5.5 to 6.0 gr of Trailboss in the 44 mag cases. Mild recoil and a pleasure to hit steel targets as far as 150 yards accuratly. A little slow, but the 245 unchecked cast grainers get there! Have fun; Rod

303 Bullets Used in the 7.62x39 for Subsonic Loads

What I was really looking for was a less powerful FUN round for the SKS. Kind of the 30 carbine or 32-20. Cycling the action was not a factor, one could do so manually very rapidly on reduced loads and pocket the spent brass with no loss or dings. The cast 150 grain .311 worked good, but since I...

    "Reloading" virgin steel cases

The Wolf high performance 223's are boxer primed and have nice beveled primer pockets. These are the steel cases that have a satin grey/metal color with no varnish or lacquer. Since I have a sufficiant supply of brass, these are good in a pinch I have not had any problems loading these steel...
