    Hi-power slide rails

It's normal, my '93 Mk.III is the same way. On mine the parkerized finish includes half the rear rails, all of the front rails and the inside of the dust-cover. Been that way since I bought it 11 years ago. Most likely just from the way the frame was held in a fixture for spraying.... or masked...

    Bersa tpr9c ?

The closest gun in terms of feel would probably be a Beretta 92, very similar in grip size and shape. My Bersa mics out to 2.1" length and 1.32" width. Beretta 92 is 2.076" length and 1.37" width. Don't know how that would translate to the smaller versions but it's a starting point.

    Bersa tpr9c ?

While not the exact model you are looking at, I bought their Thunder 9 PRO XT on a whim and have been thoroughly impressed with it's performance. It's no CZ Shadow 2 or SIG P210 for sure, but for the price the build quality and accuracy is excellent.

Anyone a sucker for oddball or obscure brand revolvers?

Driftwood reminded me that I too have a Forehand & Wadsworth, complete with gaudy mother of pearl grips. It is not in functioning condition, but it is a family heirloom so at some point when money is no longer tight(if it ever is) I would like to get it repaired. Someone long before I took...

    Impulse buy, Ruger 95

P95s are like the 1990s Buick of the gun world. Not pretty, not valuable, will never be collectible, but 20 years from now someone will still be using one daily. I don´t know where they are coming from, but two guys I know have both purchased 95s in the past three months and I snagged one for a...

It's Finally Here and I want one...

Ruger used to offer that barrel profile as standard ... I had one back in 2009 but it got away from me. Been hunting for one to replace it off and on for the last eight years... my new one will arrive at the shop this week. :)

    new ruger redhawk 45ACP/45Colt

S&W Governor; .45 Colt and .45 ACP while still using the same full-moon clips that have been in circulation since WWI. Private smiths have been doing the same modification for decades to other makes and models of 45s. Thickness isn't the isue either, its the OD. The ruger clip is about a 32nd...

    new ruger redhawk 45ACP/45Colt

I bought one.... and then was immediately pissed off at Ruger over it. In typical Ruger fashion, it ONLY uses Ruger's moon clips. No-go on the piles of clips I use with my Colt's and Smiths even though the chamber spacing is the same... heck, the Ruger clips don't work in my other revolvers...

new pre worn revolver manufacturer ?

Just shoot thousands of full power BP loads through it with minimal maintenance and yours will look like mine. Sure, the forcing cone and chamber mouths are all eroded .... still shoots okay though lol. I use red scotch-brite to get the rust off it once and a while. It's a...

    Windicator 357mag 4"

Another good "value-priced" revolver on the market right now is the steel framed Alfa-Proj Czechpoint is selling. Picked one up recently in 357 mag and am very pleased with it. Even with shipping and transfer I was in it for less than a new Taurus 66. Better build quality too, in my opinion.

    Pietta .44 Magnums at Cabela's

I've had the Cabela's .45 Colt Pietta for a few years now and it is one solid gun. Mine is dinged, dented and a little rusty but hardly worn out. Great shooter for $300.

    Taurus 85

At the right price I'd buy one for just the novelty of it.

    Colt 3-5-7

Little holster wear and I think it should have service grips judging by the round head side-plate screw under the left panel. Other than that, solid old Colt for less than $300. :D

    Colt 3-5-7

Stumbled into a 5" 3-5-7 for an absurdly low price just recently.

Case won't fit in shell holder?

Had this problem with an antique Lyman press using J-type shell holders. Most brass fit fine, but one in ten was a tight fit or a no-go at all. Got so pissed off with it one morning I made a j-type to RCBS adaptor on my lunch break at work. Access to a lathe and milling machine = happiness. :D

    Desert Eagle 44 mag thoughts

Moderate recoil and good accuracy if a little finicky with some factory ammo. The current ones are built on the .50AE platform so they are pretty tame in the lesser calibres. Mine likes hot reloads. Best DE in my opinion is still the original .357 though.

Just bought a Coonan 357 mag automatic

I like mine... You shouldn't have any rust issues if you just keep it clean. Only stainless gun I ever managed to get any rust on was a SP101 carried in a jeans pocket during 90+ degree weather for three weeks. :scrutiny:

What is the last gun that you bought?

Sated my desire for another odd-ball auto.... my wallet is still smouldering I think. :D

    The Remington R51, Explained

Mine is a 00019xx S.N. range gun and it's running fine. Hit the 700 round point a little while ago. I'd trust it for carry if my usual revolver broke down on me. (it's a Taurus, it might happen )

    Bolt-Action Shotguns!?

I had an old J. Stevens 59A in .410 that I kick myself for selling. Had a tube mag like gigantic .22 and was a heck of a lot of fun to plink with. Think it cost me less than $100 eight or nine years ago. I ever see another one I'll buy it in a heartbeat. Nice looking one here...
