Anyone smooth the action out some where the bolt cycles better. I see that there is some play so I'm guessing it can only be so good?

I've got a Ruger m77 mark 1 .22-250. It's got the wood stock on it and I have been trying to find a rubberized stock for it. I don't want one that is hollow at the butt because they feel flimsy to me. Does anyone know if the mark 2 stocks fit the mark 1s?
