You will need lots and lots of home defense shotgun shells. Easiest scenarios? Zombies. 
The most realistic scenario? Lifetime supply of hunting rounds.
The large 00 buck is machined and costs around $23 for a 5lb box
The small #9 shot is dropped and can be found for ~$38 for a 25 lb bag.
