Interesting. Would have been nice to see the shotgun testing. Was suprised with the AK going through all the types they tested.

im not surprised. the ak47 is bad ass. i shoot through steel and trees all the time.

The test was kind of dissappointing...

What kind of ammo were they shooting? I'm sure that M885 was the test ammo, but what about that new AP stuff for the SAWs? And what about the AK-74? I would imagine that our soldiers encounter a fair number of them in the field, and despite being a small caliber, I don't believe that the bullet construction is comparable to the M885 round.

And besides--what happened to the shotgun? I had been wondering what a slug would do through a brick wall.

Working as an ammotech here at Camp Lejeune, I can safely say I've never seen any sort of armor piercing SAW round.
