....You can also build one with the Clark mid-weight barrel. They'll cut them to any length between 16" and 21.5". I finally put this one in a walnut stock last year.
I suggest looking up a company called Kidd. They make some of the best 10-22 parts and products, including complete rifles. Their products are pricey, but top tier. As with most things, it depends on how much you are willing to spend. 10-22’s are a neat design and can be accessorized to perform with amazing accuracy. I would suggest starting with really good trigger and barrel. The rest of the items provide incremental gains.
Actually, all things considered and comparing it to building one off a Ruger, their prices are not bad at all. I have one of their barrels and have been wanting to try one of their Supergrade barreled actions.
I love it! I added a Burris scope, Ruger BX trigger and a Ruger extended mag release. I only feed it CCI standard velocity and it runs flawlessly and has excellent accuracy.
