10-8, new show on ABC

I'm sitting here watching 10-8, the new show on ABC, and must say, I'm impressed so far with the weapons handling. The deputies were responding to a shots fired call, witht heir weapons drawn, and they actually had their fingers off their triggers. HOLLYWOOD ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING RIGHT! WOW!

There were a few good humorous moments also.

The beginning of the TV season is always fun...all the new show & all. I hope there is something there that's worth watching :scrutiny:
 
I didn't catch the closing credits, but by the looks of the show the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department must have a pretty big hand with the technical advising...just my guess, anyway. My Dad used to be with them back in the late 60s and early 70s before we moved to the South. The uniforms, cars, etc., look right on the money (though the shoulder patches say "Los Angeles Sheriff" instead of the authentic "Los Angeles County Sheriff" I noticed). Anybody out in the LA area maybe have some more info on it?
 
Agreed, I saw many straight trigger fingers.

The 2 main characters clearing that alley, covering each other, was pretty good, too.

And I didn't see one "sabrina" the whole show. :eek:
 
I saw lots of straight trigger fingers, but I also saw the rookie pass behind the TO and muzzle flash his head!

But I agree, much better handling that most shows/movies...

Hmmm.....yeah, and maybe it'll go flying through the air should we get t-boned before we get there. I'll keep mine holstered until I get there.
 
I remember being a rookie going on a robbery in progress call. My partner (FTO) was driving and I had pulled my revolver about halfway out of my holster. A car stopped short in front of us, he braked hard, revolver goes flying to the floorbaord.:cuss: It was about then I remembered the caution about not having the gun out of the holster in a moving car.:banghead: No robbery, not even a stick of gum being shoplifted.:)

I didn`t see the show but I`m glad Ernie Hudson finally got some steady work.
 
My wife even caught the rookie sweeping the back of Ernie's head. And that's good for her to notice gun handling! I might, one day, have her even trained to watch her back as she walks to the car across the mall parking lot :what:
