Greetings,

Does anybody currently manufacture a 12 ga. shotgun load similar to the now discontinued Federal "Personal Protection" featuring #2 shot and low dram equivalent (3?) for reduced recoil? I have some current Federal lead BB loads, which are very effective, but they are 4 dram and really are nasty out of my old riot pumps and coach guns.

Thanks,

Hunter

Shotshell reloaders, unlike brass reloaders, are self-contained and highly portable. They're also not too expensive. Shotshell reloading, even with a single stage, is pretty quick and painless. You can easily load over 100 shells in an hour, even at a casual pace, with no cleaning, tumbling, etc.

The MEC Sizemaster, a top-notch single-stage reloader that resizes the shells perfectly, is $185 at Cabela's. That includes everything you need except for supplies, and additional bushings, which are cheap.

Used, you can pick one up cheaper, but beware that people often have the things set up really screwy and it may take a while to get the thing working as you want it to.

Again, it's easier, quicker, neater, and otherwise less painful than brass reloading. And that way, you don't have to go hunting for your desired loads. You can play around and make whatever you want!
