I've been thinking about getting a little MOLLE rig for carrying water, first aid, etc. while hunting and I (think) I have seen people stick 12 gauge shells into the individual straps for carrying, kinda like a bandoleer. It looks like it would fit, but does anyone do this here or have seen anyone else do it?

They fit.

I noticed the same thing on HBOs Generation Kill tonight. Sorry, but I can't find a picture of the set up on HBOs website.

I prefer keeping mine in a pouch of some sort. I do not like having things come flying off my rack when I hit the deck.

There are several pouches specifically made for 12ga shells. A dump pouch works good too to keep a bunch loose. And finally there are some mag pouches (I think they came through tactical tailor or diamond back), that have loops on the exterior of the pouch to keep a couple of shells.

Your needs and uses may allow for different methods.

Turns out I had an older vest in the closet I forgot about! I thought the fit might be a little loose on the shells but they hold suprisingly well. I would be confident hitting the deck or running full speed with them in there for that matter.
Plus it looks extra tacti-cool, and we all know that that increases load times significantly :neener:
