13 months later and order finally shipped!

Ordered some M&P .40 magazines from Brownells in January of 2013 and just got a notice today that they have shipped! Holy cow! At least they stuck to their word and shipped when available. Maybe one small sign that things are looking up?
 
I've had some on order with Streicher's for 11 months now - got an e-mail alert from Midway USA last week that they were in stock, so I ordered and have received.

Don't know whether to cancel the Streicher's order or not? Since they appear to be so hard to find, I may just leave the order open a while longer and sell them if / when the arrive.

Price on them @ Streicher's when I ordered was $24.99 - I see they now list them at $32.99. I think Midway's price was around $32.99, but I used the $25 off $125 sale code (now expired) to get 'em close to my original Streicher's order price.

I'm wondering if maybe Streicher's is trying to outwait me due to the $24.99 order price - might be hoping I'll go away rather than have to fill the order at the original price?

Hasn't been on order as long, but I still have some Speer Gold Dot 357 SIG on backorder with them - they did fill my order for 9mm Federal HSTs in a couple of months.
 
I think it is great that Brownell's honored all the old orders. A lot of places just started to cancel them.

5K Small Pistol Primers -- Federal
5K Large Pistol Primers -- Federal
4 lbs of BL-C(2)
5 lbs of Bullseye

Powder is in stock -- order is just waiting for the Federal Primers (want the Federals since they are softer in case I want to lower the hammer spring poundage)

Midsouth has always been good at filling the backorders -- but wish Federal would catch up.

Same thing happened to my co-worker over a bunch of .223 Remington UMC ammo. It came in last month after a year. He thought he canceled the order and it was a big surprise as to its arrival.
 
Update -- Midsouth shipped my backorder, I picked up all items from FedEx (signature needed) yesterday -- so they came through.

Reminds me one how Midway USA, I have a couple dozen that when back in stock they send me a notification E-mail.

Almost every time it's something obscure I was checking out for whatever reason months ago. The things I REALLY want don't seem to be getting back in stock at all!

Glad to hear you... EVENTUALLY... got your mags!

I'd keep them on order then keep them when they arrived. If they're that hard to find now, just wait until the next panic sets in, they'll really be non-existent. Not sure I'd sell even then, the money would just burn a hole in your pocket until the panic ended.

I ordered a 500 rd case of .40 S&W ultramax remanufactured and 250 rd case of Federal 00 buckshot last April. The .40 came in about 4-5 months after ordering and I'm still waiting on the buckshot. Couldn't beat the price though so I guess I'll just be patient.
 
My M&P 9c mags from Midway arrived a few days ago, they've been on backorder since Feb 2013, I needed them as I haven't found any others at non-gouger prices in the meantime.
 
I recently had a 3 year old order for a s & w 41 barrel come. I had forgotten all about it, and not sure I really needed it any more.
 
I got a half dozen from different company's about the m&p mags. They must have finally caught up. It seems like they all have them in now, maybe I will buy an M&P, because I gave up and sold the last one, unable to find Mags for less than $100 bucks a pop.
