1858 Enfield Musketoon

I just purchased this rifle.

It appears to be a Parker Hale Enfield Musketoon, but it is marked 1858 Enfield. All Musketoons I can research are marked 1861 Enfield. Does anyone have any info as to whether this is a Parker Hale made in England or a Parker Hale Barrel on an Italian made Enfield. The barrel is 23 7/8" long.

It looks like you have an authentic British-made Enfield. British proof marks on the barrel, and the Parker-Hale stamp on the stock.

I've got quite a few good deals through the years on GunBroker. You just have to watch items you are interested in and know what they are worth.
