From what I understand, the Colt 1860 snubnose isn't a replica of any particular Colt factory-made pistol. But it is an accurate representation of what happened to many 1860's that were modified by frontier gunsmiths during the later 1800's.
I bought one from Cabela's about a month ago, and I finally shot it for the first time on Christmas Day; It is an absolute ball to shoot! MUCH smoke, noise, and fire! The sights were centered very well, but it shot about 6-8 inches low at about 15-18 yards. With practice, I discovered that if I sight it in with the base/bottom of the front barrel sight lined up with the very bottom of the V-groove on the hammer, It shot nuts on at that range!

P.S. I was using paper cartridges with 30 gr. of Pyrodex P and .454 balls. Instead of using the brass rammer that came with the gun, I used a loading stand to charge the cylinders.
