So I am looking at venturing into a 4th caliber...loading for my 1895 Chilean. I had such good luck with the 243 Win load that I am ready to experiment with the next caliber. I shot Federal 175gr Soft Point RN and they shot fairly well but were $25 per 20.

What I am thinking is the Speer 115gr HP with 760. The 115gr HP has the lowest BC of any of the offerings which is how I chose the bullet for the 243 test. It is also a hollow point, for paper punching accuracy, like the 243 load. 760 is listed as min 49gr 2770 FPS and max 53gr compressed 3095 FPS. These would be primed with CCI Large Rifle Magnum primers - per the reloading manual. This is following the same steps/logic as I used with the 243 load development so I hope I would get similar results minus the open sight vs Leupold scope grouping. So, how do the fellow reloaders here feel about the proposed load?

Speer 115gr HP
49gr-53gr 760
2.890 OAL
FC cases
CCI Large Rifle Magnum Primers
No Crimp

Any pressure concerns due to the age of the rifle? Thanks.
