I see that SOG is selling repo 1897 trench shotgun for $299.

I allawys wanted one, so has anyone got one?

Is the quality pretty good? Where are they made?

it's a norinco. it's rough, but then... so is every real 1897 on the market at this point. ;)

another hundred bucks can get you a real 1897; another four k will get you a real 1897 trench gun. hence, the norincos are pretty popular.

as long as the norinco thing doesn't bother you, and it's a new production gun (early ones had some problems, i believe), it's a fine purchase. everyone i've talked to that has one likes it a lot.

I don't feel like funding the Chinese military with my money. Do with yours what you will.

Do the Norinco replica also pump fire like the orginal. I mean where you hold the trigger it will fire when you pump it?

we have one around here, it's a solid gun but you gotta watch out for that bolt. Fresh from the box I got my freind to file down the sharp corners and edges to keep us from slicing thumbs.

great looking peice if you ask me.

Third Rail: C'mon, look around your house and look at all the made-in-china products, atleast with norinco guns the damage is done, not like you can import them anymore
