1907 Savage magazine question

I brought home a 1907 Savage pistol last week. It's very difficult to load the tenth round and with the tenth round in place inserting the magazine is equally difficult. I can see that there is rust on the magazine spring, but I don't know if can be dissassembled for cleaning. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Yes, the mag can be disassembled. Bottom plate will slide out so mag spring can be removed. Mine would never feed the last round until I removed the mag spring and inserted the correct direction (tapered spring). Shoots fine now.
