Why do 1911's have those series of holes in the trigger? Do all 1911's have those holes?

When did NON 1911 45's hit the market?? Arent they somewhat new?

Thanks

To reduce the weight of the trigger and support a lighter trigger pull.
All 1911s do not have holes in the trigger. REAL US Army 1911s do not have holes in the trigger, that is a fairly modern (1970, maybe) gunsmithing procedure.

Non 1911 .45s somewhat new?
Started with the 1905 Colt and several other PREDECESSORS to the 1911.

There have been Spanish copies and derivatives of the 1911 for many years.
The Chinese were making a .45 copy of the Broomhandle Mauser in the 1920s.
