Hah hah.Not trying to scare, it's just a funny topic that seems to come up all the time and we all get a kick out of arguing it so much.

There's got to be something similar for other guns, but the 1911 always seems to get these religious wars. There are 3 of them:

External / Internal extractor
Full Length Guide Rod / Short Plug
MIM parts / No MIM parts

I'm sure there are others but those are the ones that get people so worked up. It's one of the great things about the 1911 that we have so many options.

It's only fun because we all love the 1911 so much we'll argue these crazy minute details til we're blue in the face :D

Please don't stop posting because of us crazy 1911 people.
 
Unless you're using a C&S extractor, it's highly unlikely that you've got "one piece of spring steel." ;)
