I was just out at the range where I go at least 2-3 times a week. I was firing my Sigma in .40 S&W. I incurred 2 misfires which has never happened before. On both misfires the primer was hit. I have been reloading for 30 years and would like your input on what you think. All rounds before and after the two misfires were fine. Could it be just one of those things that happens, maybe striker didn't hit hard enough, by the way I keep this and all of my weapons very clean.I would like any input. Thanks

Light strike or dead primer is my guess. They were both your handloads? Did you try and fire them again? Did you pull the bullets?

Could the primers have been poorly seated? My only misfires have been due to a primer that wasn't fully seated. They went on the second attempt. That was early on, when I was still developing a feel for the hand priming tool.
Did the dent on the primer look like a good hit? If not, that's a good indication of a light strike.
