I was looking at barrels over at White Oak, and I read something that made me think of the first time I shot a .204. It was a bolt gun that this gentleman had just purchased.
He was shooting at 200 yards, and wasn't doing to good (his words not mine). He asked if I wanted to shoot it. I was sitting in the bench next to him shooting my AR-15. I was delighted. I settled in on the gun, and looked through his Leopold. I noticed that he was shooting high about 5 inches, and left about 3 inches.
Aiming about 5 inches low, and 3 inches to the right, I pulled the trigger. What a big boom for a little cartridge. He was looking through the spotting scope. He asked me to shoot another. BoooM! He then looked at me, and asked what I did. I had put 2 shots nearly touching in the black square.
I informed him that I aimed at the opposite of where his group was located on the paper.
We made the adjustments, and he was shooting in the square after that. He was about to throw that gun... LOL
I saw him making changes to the scope when I was sitting next to him. I don't know if he was turning the click the wrong way.
Anyway. I just wanted to say that the little cartridge packs some pop!
