I have a Colt/Umarex/Walther 1911 Rail Gun in .22 caliber. It shoots very low. It comes with windage adjustable front and rear sights. That's right, I said the front sight is windage adjustable, too.
So, I am pondering either getting a new front sight (the original has a big white dot which I am loathe to hack up) and cut it down or a low-profile adjustable rear sight.
1)has anybody replaced the sights on their C/U/W .22 1911? What did you put on and how did it work?
2)Pro's/Con's to swapping front sight? Anybody ever swapped and ground it down?

Apple;

I bought the SIG/GSG 1911-22. It came with three different height front sights. I suspect that the SIG front will either also fit your gun, or can be made to fit without too many "manly words of power" being used. I'd contact your local SIG dealer & see if they couldn't get you that selection. Shouldn't cost too much, but then too, it's SIG.
