That's not as bad as I'd have thought. Where do you find them? I wouldn't go nuts with it like you have, but I can think of a couple I'd like to do (such as the Aliens M41A). I'd probably build that around an AR rather than a rimfire, though.

Airsoft boneyard section and used craigslist ads. I have over 30 conversions now not enough .22 rifles

Alien pulse Rifle wouldnt hold up on a .223 recoil. Alien rifle goes for $360 new

Im doing a .22 Super KRISS and .22 Remington MSR next.

I haven't seen the insides of the various ones out there (Ranging from $100 to $1,500 from what I've seen), but I see no reason that the chassis couldn't be reinforced with steel or aluminum in key places.

I have the ability to mill custom fit pieces of steel, aluminum, Delrin, ABS, etc. I'm just not inclined to take the time to manufacture the entire chassis from scratch. That'd be $200 worth of plastic stock, and probably well over 100 hours.

thats true. you can reinforce it with metal and just use the pulse rifle as a bolt on skin ala AICS. but yea its a lot more work.

im building a 3D printer and learning autocad so i can print out my own plastic stocks/chassis/handguards for my .22's

A 22LR weighing 15 lbs???? What's the recoil like?

have you seen my .22LR Barrett M82 and M99? those pea shooters also weigh about 15lbs

virtually no recoil. the girls love it ;)

i also attract a lot of old men. hahaha

Basically yeah, not so much a chassis as a body kit.

Now to figure out how to make the counter work, and how to get 95 rounds of 5.56 in that mag well......

As an aside, once (if?) the Kel Tec RMR-30 makes it to market, that should give you nice option for a core firearm for these builds. A straight, grip-inserted mag holding 30 rounds of .22 mag (allegedly a 50 rounder will come to fruition) would make the function (and sound) better match the aesthetics of these guns. For the BAR, for example, you could house the RMR forward so that the grip lives inside the magazine of the host, and just use linkage for the trigger.
