231 in a vintage 9MM Luger

hi guys , i have never reloaded 9MM , I have a 1939 vintage Mauser luger and wish to load a batch of ammo using Winchester 231 and hard cast lead bullets 124 grs round nose [ they weigh about 130 grs ] any ideas on how grains of 231 to usa ??

Use the published data in the above link to Hodgdon. I use W231 to make 9mm ammo for the range and I charge only 4.0gr W231 under a 124gr lead RN bullet. If that charge weight operates the slide correctly use that charge. If you need more (which I doubt) up the charge slightly.

Nice pistol, would you be kind enough to post a picture or two?
 
Just in case you didn't know, Luger's often stovepipe on anything less than full power loads. My father had a Luger that would not function on anything less than +p. I've heard this is common with the Luger.
