Can anyone tell me what they have for a decapping pin / expander diameter or the neck I. D. for their .243?

I have a set of .243 Winchester dies that I got used.

The decapping pin / expander measures .237" and the neck I.D. ends up .236".

My first clue they might be too small is the Lee trimmer pilot measures .239" and would not fit into the .236" neck.

I figure neck I.D. should be bullet diameter minus .002, .003" or .004". .007" less than bullet diamter seems excessive.

I have 3 - expander diameters .2415" .2413" .2421" RCBS & Redding. For rifle .002" under bullet diameter is plenty in a rifle. For handguns .003 " or more under bullet diameter, sometimes more for the hot magnums.

Thanks for the replies.

Hopefully a new expander will fix the problem.
