Lost Some where in the middle of the USA
Hello All newbie here, I was refered to this site by a fellow member of a truck forum I belong too. I have this question and hope someone here can help me out.

5-6 Years ago I seen some .25 Auto, Stainless Steel, with either Pink or White handles, and built in laser site at a local gun shop for about $225 new. I think they were Lady Smiths but I'm not for sure. My memory isn't as good as it use to be. :) I couldnt afford them for my wife at the time and she really wasnt very interested. Now she has decided to obtain a Conceled Weapons permit and I would like to find this gun again for her to get use to shooting a handgun with and for her self defense.

She is a crack shot with a 10/22, 12ga, or .270 rifle I really wouldn't want to be on the business end of any of the others either if she is the one doing the business. But they are to big to fit in her purse. She is skitish of handguns as we all know it can be hard to get use to the thought of setting off a small explosion in your hand while maintaing contol. So I think a few hours plinking this .25 Auto with built in laser site would fit her current needs and our budget well. If I can find this or an equivelent tool that would be great.

Any help locating / Identifiyng it would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

Sorry for the long post.

get her a Walther p22 w/ a laser sight. would probably fit her hand good too. inexpensive ammo...

Remember to break it in w/ mini mags the first 500-600 rounds.
Clean it when you first get it.
Dont over oil it. wipe the oil on so its not saturated and driping on places.

after the break in, you should be able to shoot whatever you want. I run remington bulk through mine all the time, I have shot over 10,000 rounds so far.

Thanks but I think it might look to fierce for her taste. Atleast thats the impression I got when I showed her a pic of it. I've had her shooting my S&W 22A, my Colt New Frontier .22 Revolver, and my dads Ruger MK II. She likes the MK II best but she is still not comfortable with it. I suspect it is a mental thing caused by the looks. If it looked more "girlie" I suspect she wouldn't be scared of them as bad and would be more comfortable. She keeps mentioning the .25's we seen down there that day with the (pink or white grips). I tell here it is a slightly bigger round but she has it set in her mind that it is softer. :banghead:
But if she doesnt like it IF we find one then hopefully we can find the white handles and I will get her something else if she wants later. I wouldn't mind having the .25 to drop in door pocket of my truck or something. It was fairly nice especially for the price.

Why not get her the little Kel Tec P32? They come in various colors and are really great little guns. Don't cost much more than the 25's you were talking about and a lot more gun.

A laser on a .25 is dubious... it's not meant for precision shooting... it's meant for spitting distance.

A well made all-steel .25 from Browning or Colt is one thing, (neither company still makes .25's) a cheap $65 dollar pistol with a $100 'laser' is another. Most 25's on the market these days are just that... cheaply made.

You'd be better off practicing with the Ruger .22 target pistol as a 'trainer'. Heavier weight, no recoil, cheaper ammo, rather than buying an overly small overpriced mouse gun that's hard to shoot accurately. The Kel-Tec isn't a bad option for the price, but it's certainly not the only one.
