I have a .25 Stevens Rimfire rifle...Anybody know where to find rounds for this caliber? If not would it be possible to sleeve the bore and chamber for a .17 RF or .22 mag RF?

That is a tough one. Some years ago it was made last I think in canada by dominion, but I am not 100% sure that I remember right on that.

For sleeving you need to ask someone with sufficient knowledge to examine your weapon. You might be able to rechamber to the .25 ACP center fire. It would require alteration of the firing pin. I mention this since years ago there were some .32 caliber guns that could fire either center fire of rimfire .32 caliber cartridges.

None of this is real cost effective. you could buy several .22 rimfires for the cost of getting your old gun to fire.

No one makes ammo, and any you find will bring collector prices and probably have a high percentage of mis-fires.

Redman's makes .22RF liners which are .311" - .312" O.D. and that would clean up your .25 bore enough to be installed.
There could still be issues with the firing pin location on the smaller .22RF case head though.

You might contact them and see if they would even try to do it.

Mr. Keith...

thought much of this cartridge for the heavier bullet than the .22's of his day.

I works at lower pressure of days long ago. Probably the 15K LUP of .22s and shotguns. I would be very hesitant about going to a more modern cartridge that is "hotter." There was a .22 Remington special that uses the modern/today Magnum case at the lower pressure. Loaded with 45 grain bullet.

As said, nothing is "cost effective." You will not "get back" what you spend.

I thought that there was a run of ammo done in Italy a few years back. It had a following in Canada. No telling there. Obviously google or dogpile is a search option. You could also check with Navy Arms. Old West Scrounger. Some of this stuff just "comes back." Happy New Year. Luck.

Thank guys
I kinda knew I was barking up an empty tree.... But it never hurts to ask. I shot this rifle back when it was my granpaws.... it was so heavy that I would have to prop it up on fence or limb just to shoot it.... very accurate too. The Last box of ammo my dad had was Canuk also..
Thanks again
