I just inherited a Walther Model 5 (WWI vintage) 6.35 (25acp) blowback pistol.
It chambers the cartridges easily. Fires fine. Extracts the brass about 1/10 of an inch and the brass freezes in the chamber.
Slide blows back and locks open properly. Extractor looks good and sharp. Extractor spring is powerful. The brass has to be be hammered out of the chamber with a punch!!!!!!!!!! After punching out the brass it looks normal.
I have taken down the gun and examined the chamber with flashlight and my poor eyes. I can see/feel no abnormalities in the chamber.
It does it with store bought ammo and ammo that I have loaded and also use with my Colt Junior.
In my opinion the chamber must have some abnormality. Does anyone else have any idea what could cause this?
