260 Remington in Short Barrel

Most of the loading manuals list the best loads with slower powders, such as RL-19. Would like some faster powder ideas for my Ruger Compact with 16.5 barrel, so there is not as much muzzle flash.

I would suggest doing some sample runs with Varget, the new Reloader-17 and others in that burn range.
You certainly loose a good bit of velocity out of that short barrel. Using 120-130gr bullets may help too.

Thanks, NCsmitty. I use Varget in my .308 nicely. RL-17 is out here, but I'll sure get some when available. I've got a ton of 120 CL and 129 IL that I use in my 6.5-06.
