Hi Guys, I'm back. After all the great advice I got from all of you, this is what I did.
1. Used all winchester brass fire formed and bumped back .002.
2. Switched to H4831SC so I have good data. Hornady 10 says 52.3 - 62.0 for 2600 to 3100 fps.
3. Got a ProChrono DLX so I have good Velocity Data.
4. Stopped Crimping
5. Chrono Winchester factory 130 sp for baseline 2974, 2976 fps.
Browning AB3 in 270 Win. 22" Brl. Hornady 130gr. SST Seated at book COL 3.210 no crimp.
Shot today in .3 steps to 62 grs, I have good looking primers, No ejector marks, no heavy Bolt lift.
59.0 - 2967 (match to factory Ammo)
60.2 - 3046 (Book 60.1 3000)
60.8 - 3093
61.7 - 3139
62.0 - 3144 Max Load (Book 3100)
So I'm about 40 fps over Book data with a 22" Barrel!!!!! Should I be happy or inch up more to find the pressure max? I figure when I do and back off I'll be where I am??
Question: If I switch to REM or FED brass how much should I reduce start charge?
