Might be a while before I can get a varmint gun (possible I can get one soon, but not going to bank on anything unless it is in front of me).

I've got a Stevens 200 in 270 Win. 22" Barrel, 1-10 twist (typical 270 twist). Shoots Hornady 130gr SP very well using IMR 4831.

I am looking to develop loads for a Hornady 110gr V-Max. I've got the Hornady Book and I've got low and max loads for IMR 4831, but the spread goes from 52.3gr to 59.6gr. I'd like to narrow that down a little. I will still work up my own loads, but a narrower band would certainly help :)

My 6.8 is getting 2625 out of an 18" barrel with Hornady factory VMax loads. I would think it will be a laser out of the .270, but haven't gotten around to loading light bullets for that cartridge yet. Can't help with your data, but looking forward to the results.

The 110gr V-Max as well as the HPBT seem to be pretty popular with the 6.8 crowd. Seems to be perfect for the 6.8, but it is indeed light for the 270 Win.

I did load up some rounds last night.

58.0, 58.5, & 59.0 of IMR 4831. The 59.0 looks to be a compressed load. Not sure how anyone can get 59.6 (max load) inside a 270 Win case. I don't have drop tubes so I stopped at 59.0.

Another question I have: My Hornady 8th Edition states COL of 3.165 (not sure if this is max). I tipped the rounds I made. My Lee seater set ALL the way down will not seat the bullet lower than 3.175. The cannelure looks to be right at 3.165. I did function check a dummy round and it chambers / cycles fine. Thoughts / suggestions?

It can be a tricky thing as you know to load light bullets in a big cartridge. I have tried loading light bullets in a 7 mm mag with no accuracy success at all. Yeah, they shoot fast but accuracy was terrible. But I did find surprising accuracy in my .308 using a 110gr bullet. But it took 3 different powders and a lot of charge weights before I stumbled onto the right combination. I haven't tried a light bullet yet in my 270 WSM.

If you don't get the accuracy you want, you might try a faster burning powder and try a broad spectrum of charge weights. Maybe that's why the listed range you found was more than the typical Max - 10% that you usually see.
