I use Pro Ears electronic muffs, but I'm switching to non-electronic since I now wear a hearing aid under the muff. I've started to shoot an AR-15 and I'd like something less bulky than the large Pro Ears so as not to interfere with my cheek weld. We're generally at the range for 3+ hours so these have got to be comfortable.

The hearing aid is a small behind the ear unit so unless the muff is really pressing down on my ear I should be ok.
Thank

The muff pad has to seal against your head to provide proper protection. The cup has to be large/deep enough to accommodate your ear and hearing aid. It may be difficult to get a pair of low profile muffs that will work with your hearing aid, but you should go to the nearest Grainger or safety supply and tell them you need to try on muffs over a hearing aid and look for the ones with a low profile.
