What other than a rebarrel and chamber cut is needed to make 30-06 into a 25-06?Just curious what is involved I thought the action and bolt would work ok.

Thats it.
Bolt & mag work fine as they are the same exact case with a smaller hole in the end.

Nothing else is needed. I have a 25-06 made from a 03-A3 in 1965. BBL stamped 25-06 Neidner.

rcmodel says it right. Just the price of a new barrel. Make sure the chamber is cut for a 25-06 Remington which has the 19 1/2 degree shoulder. Don't let anyone talk you into a 40 degree shoulder. Had both and the standard chamber is the way to go. BW
