Needed to trim a bunch of 30 Carbine cases and started with my Forster Case trimmer and man turning that little crank gets old quick.

Today stoped at a gun store on my way home and picked up one of the Lee Case Trimmers with the appropriate Case Length Gauge & Shell Holder. Man alive what a difference, easy to use, quick, and handy. I'm using a cordless driver so no work is involved.

Now this no slam at all to the Forster, or other brands that use a crank, but this is to me a super alternative and saves alot of cash compared to the other powered units.

Just my take on another Excellant Lee item.

The Lee definitely works better after running the cases through the expander die. The cutting tool was spinning out of my hand, or the shell was spinning out of the holder, until I flared the case mouths.

For low density trimming, I have to agree that the Lee case trimmer is not a bad option for the $. I still use them sometimes when I don't want to sit down and set up my Forster. But once I set it up, it is really hard to beat the Forster.
