In summer I carry my Ruger LCR .357 in a pocket holster, but for OWB use I have a Simply Rugged pancake holster. Likewise for my M&P Shield .45 I have a Kydex OWB holster, like the Simply Rugged in 15 degree forward cant, both usually about 3:30 position. However at a gun show this weekend I picked up a leather pancake holster for the Shield in 30 degree forward cant and I find it to be amazingly comfortable at 3:30 to 4:00, and perfectly concealed even under a light garment. It puts less downward pressure on the belt and holds the gun snugly against my side.
I know the 15 degree FBI cant is pretty much the standard for most people in both OWB and IWB carry, but who else prefers a more dramatic forward cant?
