I have an X-Bolt Pro Long Range Burnt Bronze which has 1/8 twist. So far I've mostly been shooting 180gr Sp and 200gr ELDX but thinking of trying some 212g and 220g. In theory the 1/8 should stabilize a heavier bullet well compared to my Rem 700LR that has 1/10.
Just curious if anyone has some experience and opinions on this?

It's not weight as much as length. A 220 gr hunting bullet isn't usually as long as a 220 gr high BC target bullet. The 220 gr hunting bullet should be fine in a 10 twist, but probably not the 220 gr target bullet. Play around with this link to see what works. This is specific to Berger bullets, but you can get a ball park idea.

Thanks for that

Thanks for that link, very interesting. I have an LGS who has some 220 ElDx and 212 ELDm on the shelf, I'm not shooting past 500yds this season, so I may try them. I'm guessing they would compare closely with the 210 VLD.
