I think POF is Pakistani Surprise ammo If it actually goes off you'll be surprised. I think it goes something like click...one...two...three...bang, if it goes bang at all. I would get some other kind.

I don't bother with surplus for 303. I handload.

It will shoot most of the time. Dirty though. I had a lot of hangfires with it. I reload also, highly recommend it.

Sellier & Bellot makes brand new FMJ for .303 Brit that shoots fine.

I hit at 950+ yards with it using irons and a No.4 Mk1.

PMP is good stuff for the folks that don't want to reload. I can get it locally for less than $7 per box....

Yeah, stay away from the POF stuff. When it does go off, it's like Zeke said: Click..........BOOM. Most of the POF I've had, I've had to re-cock the striker and hit the round two times for it to go off, and I've got a decent striker spring on there. I've started loading my own, though my recipe needs some work.

The POF ammo isn't total crap, but it isn't the greatest. A guy I shoot with had an interesting expierience. He picked up some "mil-surp" three-oh-three fir agreat price and wanted to shoot some. I, knowing zip about these thigns at the time, thought it would be fun to shoot an old rifle.

Well, he loaded the mag, chambered a round, aimed and pulled...it didn't touch off, so he eased the stock away from his shoulder a bit and started to turn the rifle sideways when...BOOOM!!! The unexpected recoil knocked the rifle right out of his hands. The few of us that were there erupted in hysterical laughter. The look on his face was priceless

Not to sound cold-hearted. I shouldered the same Enfield with the same ammo. I pulled the trigger, but the stock slipped a little when I broke the cheek weld...at the wrong time. I left there with a softball-size bruise where the stock hit the upper part of my shoulder.
