I consider those old .312" Winchester Power Points as THE best all around bullet ever made for the .303.
I haven't mentioned them in the thread because I consider them as pretty much extinct, I don't think I've seen them offered as components in well over a decade.
They'll blow a hole from tailbone to tonsils on a medium sized hog headed away from you.
They've got good penetration, excellent killing power, and they don't destroy an excessive amount of eating meat.
Im pretty sure they are extinct i pulled them from some very old x54 ammo i had, was gonna try them in my arisaka, but the ppu's i bought shoot real well so imma quit experimenting for now. The guys who gave me the x54 ammo has atleast a few more boxes of it, may go get them and take them apart.
