Same old subject...........does anyone know where there is a supply of .308 win. match ammo, either Hornaday or LC available? I dont need a bunch, 200 rounds would do but I cant even find that! Thanks in advance

Been a while since I have seen available. I lucked out years ago when I got a five gallon bucket of once fired 7.62x51 LC match for 25 bucks. Wish I could do so again, hard to have too much brass.

you could likely get set up with a set of dies hand primer manual single stage lee press powder primers bullets trimmers gauges and a scale for less than buying 200rds, maybe even the brass too but the cost of new brass would likely tip the scales lol. im figuring 150bucks@ .75/rd buying match ammo but i have no idea

hand primer-$15
single stage w/lee manual-$25
dies-$20
powder-$25
primers-$7
bullets-$55
trimmers, shell holder, length gauge,-$15

$162+ shipping if you buy online

you can tailor your load to your gun and after startup cost make match ammo at about .44/round

how good does that sound?

Graf's has some 175 gr Federal GM left. Not cheap though at $36/20. If you're willing to deal with PRVI Match in 175 gr, you can get it at Widener's for 14.50/20. I haven't tried it yet but their non-match stuff shoots about 1-2 moa for me. They've even got some Hornady TAP in 168 gr - not match stuff but damn accurate in my Savage and they have the tacticool black cases.

Thanks all.....I'm still looking and if I find what I need will post it here.....I've been handloading for 30 years, but just started getting into the long range game with a new 700 police and am looking for a batch of fresh stuff to start with. Looks more and more like its going to be a straight handloading deal if I intend to shoot this thing any time soon.
