An acquaintance has a Marlin lever chambered in 32-20 Win. I recently acquired big load of brass from another guy who reloads, and in the mix were about 130 rds. of once-fired 32-20 brass. I donated the brass to the man with the rifle, but he is a new reloader and we need some ideas for what to load.

Anyone have favorite bullet/powder/load weight recommendations?
I will work with my friend to make sure he uses a sensible load progression in working up something for his rifle.

100-120 gr cast swc and unique, bludot, 2400 or 5744 powder (which ever you can find) gave good performance from the 1892 Winchester I used to have. Some folks of late have claimed some really good results with LILgun powder.
Hornady's dies.

I've used a 114 grain cast bullet over 4.5 grains Unique for going on 25 years in an early Win 92, and a Italian Colt SAA with original 1900's era Colt 32-20 cylinder and barrel I put in it.

It's a pretty good safe load for any of them.

This is an older PDF and is actually meant for a revolver but it may give you some insight to this low-pressure load.

Good luck.
