I just bought a 1914 32 acp for $100. The firing pin was missing half so I made a whole pin out of a cleaning rod and am shooting. I read this old post because I want a full power round for my pistol. These Fiocchi bullets are so weak they sometimes won't eject. I can see the bullet reach the target and want to improve on that speed. I do have 32 dies for the s&w and didn't want to buy another die. TY for the info and will punch a few bullets with enough power to eject this old heavy pistol.

There is nothing weak about Fiocchi 32acp. In fact, they're a little "hot" hotter than Winchester or Remington, anyway. I'd look for other reasons for the poor ejection!

Yep, the Fiocchi .32acp I shoot is pretty hot stuff, no problems with any of my .32s.

OP, is your gun a Mauser 1914? What do you have, specifically?

I have a modest collection of .32s.....

FN1900
Mauser 1914
Beretta 1935
Colt 1903
Savage 1907
CZ 50

Always looking for more. All of mine run perfect with the Fiocchi and also PPU.

I have a modest collection of envy for your modest collection of 32s. My collection in 32 is all wheelgun, but that's gonna change soon I hope.

The .32 ACP is no powerhouse, but an auto pistol has to use a round that is balanced to the gun, so I doubt that .32 S&W will work or feed in that pistol. Playing with loads might get what you want or might get you injured, so be careful.

As the others have said, Fiocchi ammo is anything but weak. Since you said the firing pin was broken when t you got the gun it's probable the extractor is weak too or at least the spring.

I highly suggest you change all the springs in you gun and when reloading don't be so "frugal" as to use the wrong dies so as not to spend $20 more.

If you need hard to find gun parts Numrich is the place to shop, good luck...

My Ortgies loves Fiocchi ammo.

You can use 32 S&W dies to reload 32 S&W, 32 S&W Long, 32 H&R Magnum, and 327 Federal Magnum. They all size down to .337. 32 ACP has a slight taper, .337 at the base and .336 at the case neck. While they will probably chamber okay using 32 S&W dies to reload 32 ACP you may have problems with sufficient neck tension and get bullet setback.

You would indeed, and overwork .32 Long etc with good .32 ACP dies. I have a different set for .32 ACP, .32 Long, and .32 Mag.

I started off trying to get by with less, but it wasn't working well for me.

Hopefully the OP will come back with more info.
