32"hastings 1100 barrel with straite rifleing

i picked up a hastings barrel for a 1100 remington with straite rifleing and a .640 choke tube screwed in. years ago i read about a company making a shotgun barrel with straite rifleing and the wright ups about it were good. but it didn,t make it as at that time it was to hard to make. does anyone know anything about a barrel like this? eastbank.

Supposed to improve patterns by keeping the wad from rotating and spreading shot. Gimmick.

+1, they were sold to hardcore trap shooters to improve patterns. The theory is good, stop the wad from rotating while traveling down the bore, keeping the shot column tight. If it really worked they would be commonplace. Some Turkey hunters swear by them.
