.32 S&W Long?

The 1892 Marlin was chambered in the .32 Colt family. The Win 92 was famously chambered for the .32-20. But .32 S&W Long? That's a stumper.

I believe that Marlin made a lever action rifle in the 1890s
with a reversable firing pin that would shoot both the
.32 S&W and .32 S&W Long centerfire and the
.32 Short and .32 Long rimfire. The bolt had to be
disassembled to change the firing pin.
Today Marlin makes their 1894CL in .32-20 Winchester.
Since they can make that, they could make a .32 H&R Mag
that would also take .32 S&W Long if there was enough
demand. .32 S&W Long can be a very accurate revolver
round, seems to be easy to reload, and adequate for
small game hunting as well. Could be a custom gunsmithing
job if one wants or needs one bad enough.

Are you sure that was for the S&W Long? I thought it was only for the .32 Colts.

Cosmoline is correct. the Marlin 1892 would chamber and fire .32 Colt Long & Short centerfires, plus with a firing pin change .32 S&W Long & Short rimfires. The .32 colt cartridges use .312" heeled outside lubricated bullets as do the .32 rimfires. .32 S&W Long & Short centerfires are inside lubricated, so the case is too large to enter the chamber of the Marlin 1892 rifles.
Marlin 1892s were also made in .22 rimfire. Later were redesigned as the Model 1897 and eventually became the Model 39/39A.

If I am not mistaken (and I may very well be) the 32 colt bullet is actually a 30 caliber.

I sit corrected on the .32 Colt approx. = .32 Rimfire, and not the
.32 S&W Long. My oops. I need to unpack my ref books.
Marlin did list a .32 H&R Mag at one time (recently too if I recall correctly),
but I could not find it in their current catalog (as of yesterday).
.32 H&R Mag seems to be popular with the cowboy action crowd
in revolvers.

Marlin has been offering a lever action in 32 H&R mag for the last couple of years. Unfortunately however they chose to make it afront loader like their 22 rifles instead of a side loader like all of their 94' models. I believe that they have ceased production of this version currently and are going to offer it as a side loader.
One gun that was offered in in 32 S&W that has not been mentioned was the Marlin model 27 pump rifle. I believe that it also had the ability to fire rimfire cartridges as well as the centerfire ones.

My Stevens Favorite was .32 rimfire, but a very good gunsmith turned it into a .32S&W Long. It is VERY quiet with .32S&W(short). It was near new before the conversion I had done in the Early 70's. It has a Marble tang sight. A great little gun, I used to harvest big frogs with .32acp in it. They never made it to the water! I shot a few dogs with it with a handload of Bullseye under a 100 grain flat hollowpoint in the Long case. The .32 has at least twice the knock down power of a .22LR Stinger, in my experience.

The Marlin Model 27 was introduced in 1909 and was offered in calibers 25-20 and 32-20. In 1913 the .25 Rimfire was added. 32 S&W/.32 S&W Long was never available in the Model 27.
