357/44/45LC Lever Gun Options

I have all three calibers plus a couple more in levers, 357 is enough for deer and pigs if loaded properly. 44 and 45 are enough for anything that walks again if loaded properly. 16" trappers handle great but my 44 mag trapper only weighs ~5# and with heavy loads thumps my shoulder pretty hard. 20" guns have a little more sight radius and can produce a bit more velocity but you're still not gonna have a 300 yard gun ;)
I really like them all sorry if I'm not much help.

Had a bit of work for my ruger redhawk and my marlin 44mag to play nice. My 357s with the 38s weren't too much but 357mag was tougher but still not like the 44. But the 44s line the factory loaded 240gn Winchester whir box. Go figure.

I don't think you got lucky... I've had no problems at all either, with .357 or .44 Mag.

Someone mentioned the Uberti 1873 is expensive, and that you can get 2 Rossi rifles for the price of 2 Uberti. Yep, you probably can. Winchesters run around the same as a Uberti too, if I'm not mistaken. Remember... you generally get what you pay for! I'm not saying a Rossi doesn't work - I'm sure they work just fine. It's a very subjective thing... if all you want to do is send lead down range, everything works. If you want something that looks and feels as good as it shoots, you generally have to pay for it. Just an opinion... :)
