So I'm looking to load up some MBC 180gr Lead semi-wadcutter (Striker). I will be loading into .357 brass and using CCI 500 SPP. I want to use 2400 as my powder and wonder if anyone has experience with this powder and LSWC 180gr bullets. This will be for Ruger GP100 4". Thanks guys!:)

I've had great success in the past with 160grn Thompson GC cast bullets over 15grns 2400 as a top load. For a solid working load I found 12.5 grns to be excellent. Never tried 180s.

There are a couple of good threads here on this bullet -

These should have useful data for you.

Very nice! I have been thinking about getting some 180 gr bullets for the .357 when I make my next order for some .45 Colt and .44 mag bullets. For some reason, I just don't enjoy shooting the 158 gr bullets in the Blackhawk anymore. They just don't feel like shooting a real gun anymore.

I saw in the various references some loads using Lil Gun. It would be nice if that gives me some good results for something. I bought some of it thinking that it would be just the ticket for the .480 Ruger and .454 Casull but I didn't really like it there. And it gave so-so results in .44 mag and other .357 loads. I do have plenty of 2400 and AA #9 and W296/H110 as well as Enforcer, but all those powders have provided several good uses in various combos. Maybe the Lil Gun will make a magic combo with a 180 gr MBC bullet?

Well I've heard anecdotal evidence that the Lil' gun works well with the heavy for caliber .357 rounds. I don't have any experience of my own though. Good luck. Thanks for the posts, good info so far!:)
