yep i waited a few years to get my favorite of all .357 magnum handguns..... THE .357 magnum ..... a blued smith&wesson model 27 1968 vintage.. 6"barrel,patrage front sight,finely checkered topstrap,serated back strap,smooth target stocks,and plain rear sight blade........ i love the old girl but i did get her a bianchi ballistic nylon belt and holster a few years ago instead of leather... i got some crap over that but being it was so close to the 21st century i just couldn't see carrying my gun in animal skin........

The best built .357 model ever made, ( JOMHO ) = a Smith & Wesson 686-1 w/ a four inch barrel. I have one from the first run of the 686's. (686-1), I love it, wouldn't take anything for it. It is one that has been around so long it has become 'FAMILY' status.
