Hi guys and girls;

I'm not new to Rossi lever action rifles but I just found and purchased one in 38/357 magnum. It works very smoothly IMO but I have never had the pleasure of trying one that has been smoothed by an expert so I don't know how to compare it. I already had one in 45 Colt and because I shot flat point conical bullets in it I've had very little trouble with it (none actually).
So, all I had in stock were 158gn LSWC/GC bullets and I found out quickly that they don't work very well, no surprise there. So I bought and tried some fully JHPs in 38 and 357 Mag. with a truncated cone shape to them and they work super good but their too expensive for plinking.
Now I cast my own bullets for most uses but the only truncated cone bullets I cast are Lee 10mm flat tip at the present.
So, I thought I would ask you guys and girls what you've had the best luck with in the lever action 38/357 Rossi M92?

Also, have any of you lightly chamfered and polished the chamber entrance? Mine has a bit of a sharp edge. And what length cartridge seems to work best for you?

10mm, when you care enough to send the very best.
