I have been loading a Lee mold .358 158gr lswc gc bullet that weighs 165 gr. Unfortunately I have found no load data for the bullet and I'm using the Lyman 49th to find anything close to it. The book has a 155gr GC, 160gr lswc and a 170gr lswc. I'm trying a percentage algorithm to work up a load. In the book 155gr GC bullet is taking about 1 less grain of H110 than the 160gr lswc and that is a stumper when trying to go by percentage. So far I have worked the 165gr lscwgc up to 15 gr of H110 and a cci550. The mag primers hardly flatten out and the cases slide out of the cylinder very well but I think that may be the max??? I never had to find my own load without data.
NOTE: 14.5gr of H110 and this bullet are the most accurate out of a carbine. Also I shoot from a 6" GP100

Do you know of any 2400 or H110 data for this bullet?
Would you venture into the jacketed data because of the gas check?
Any suggestions?

The 170 grain load data is not a GC bullet. Doesn't the GC subtract or add from the pressure because of the seal ability due to the load?

Not enough to matter using 165 Gr lead. As always, start low, and work up.

Agree with the others, just use the 170gr data. Suggest that the next time you buy powder, you get some 2400. H110 is not really a good cast bullet powder. Try 13.5gr of 2400.
