What kind of accuracy with this could one expect?

I agree with Evan Price except for the crimp. Get a 9mm taper crimp and use it lightly. Better accuracy and easier on the brass. i shoot thousands of these rounds through a Smith 52.

I use 3.6g titegroup under a 125gr plated hp like Berry's or HSM. It gives VERY little recoil in my snubbies or my 4" S&W M10. I would highly recommend it for someone who's new to .38 spl.
Almost feels more like a .22lr

Accuracy with round balls isn't that great. They don't have enough surface area to get a grip in the rifling and they just go pretty much where they want to go. Up close they are good enough for playing around- that's a "gallery" load (for shooting galleries).

I load a #0 Buckshot pellet in .32 S&W Long (.320") and with a magnum small rifle primer you don't need powder...but it won't go too far or very fast either!

I've got a Lee 6-cavity mold that makes the 105-grain SWC bullet. It's a nice target bullet, loads to exact same OAL as the 150-gr Lee SWC I have a 6-cav mold for also. Both shoot well but the 105 really saves the lead.

This is old stuff.

I've got to go with a 148 gr. HBWC. You can pick the powder. I've shot a ton of Unique but there are so many new, cleaner powders out there, you be the judge.

Another good thing about the HBWC is you can turn them around and make an awesome home defense load. They won't penetrate a wall like JHP or a solid LC bullet, but they will expand to 50 cal at 700 fps.
