.38 Super Question

Anyone load .38 Super with a 115 gr. FMJ .355 9mm bullet?

I'm wondering if one with a 1.240 AOL will chamber as my book says the OAL should be 1.115. I don't have a pistol to try it in anymore but I did find a bunch of reloads I made about 10 years ago.

If someone has any Factory rounds that they could measure that would be helpful too.

That OAL looks awfully short for the 38 Super round.
It looks like a 9mm OAL.
Also, is it a RN or a HP or flat nose bullet?
Something seems wrong there.

Yeah, that seems way short. I load mine to 1.26 if I'm remembering correctly. 1.115? You wouldn't even need a 45 acp sized frame for that.

By the way my Sierra reloading manual list's the OAL for a 9mm RN FMJ Bullet at 1.115 for .38 Super.
