#13 is a little off base. State and territorial National Guards are normally under the control of their respective governors under Title 32 USC. They come under direct Federal control under Title 10 only when they are Federally mobilized. Army, Navy, USMC, and USAF Reserve units are always under Title 10.

17. Private citizens shouldn't have handguns, because they aren't "military weapons", but private citizens shouldn't have "assault rifles", because they are military weapons.

The Second Amendment does not apply to individuals because it only applies to the Militia.

Oops, the Supreme Court said it does apply to individuals. Well, okay, but it does not apply to Militia Style weapons.
